Are You Kidding Me?

I came across this ad on craigslist last night and just about fell out of my chair. I can’t imagine it’s a joke. Paul suggested that perhaps it’s part of a police scheme to catch someone with a warrant. I can only hope. The alternative is a style of parenting that makes my insides lurch. Yes, I know my parenting decisions aren’t perfect every time, and I’ll admit to moments of sheer stupidity, but really? I might (MIGHT) even give mercy points for a major cataclysmic event, if such existed, requiring the search for an emergency caregiver on craigslist…but bowling???

TONIGHT – a couple friends and coworkers of mine are going bowling. I will probably be out from 9pm-1am. I am willing to pay $25 for you to sit on my couch, play video games (xbox live), watch tv, netflix for xbox, play on my laptop, eat my food, and just make sure the kids stay asleep.

Please email me with your name, number, and a reference (or brief description) of babysitting history.

ALSO, if you have a little one you can definitely bring them with you, but please make sure they wont wake my children up. I don’t feel comfortable having people babysit my kids when their awake
